Wombeyan Caves are located South West of Sydney.  The first time I drove there I thought that the shortest route looked to be the road to the West of Mittagong.

The next time I drove there, I drove via Goulburn.  This should tell you something about the other road !  The best way to get to Wombeyan is via Goulburn and then North through Taralga.
